What is Reiki?

.Reiki is a healing technique that is complementary to conventional medicine. It has been described as a “laying on of hands” or as my son at the age of 12 said “a spiritual massage”. Reiki is a Japanese word and is pronounced (Ray-Key) which means Universal Life Force. Although with out awareness we and other species (animals) have generated this Life Force through us to others from the beginning of time. Yet it wasn’t till  Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar, developed Reiki in the late 1800’s, that we channel with intent and awareness this remarkable energy.
